I was born in Vancouver and grew up on the North Shore. I have always been interested in creating whether with yarn or paint or metal. While I do 2D artwork the main focus of my work has been Wearable Art. I have taught Sewing and Fashion Design for 20 years always telling my students that

fashion is wearable art, encouraging them to find new ways to combine their knowledge, skills and materials. I have worked using a single medium as well as combining mediums such as cashmere yarn and metal. I am happiest when learning new techniques or creating new ways to use materials. My work is always changing as I explore new ways of working with different materials. My pieces for the show are focused on methods of manipulating casting wax and using Liver of Sulphur to oxidize silver to enhance the design elements of the piece.
